Inaugural CAIA-SKBI Cryptocurrency Conference 2014
The use of cryptocurrency has been capturing attention of multiple industries and its leaders as well as institutions. That is why ACCESS will have a panel at the conference discussing about Singapore’s place as the next Cryptocurrency Silicon Valley. The panel participants include Mr James Chan, CEO of Silicon Straits, Mr Andras Kristof, CEO of Tembusu Terminals, Mr Jonathan Lim, NUS Centre for Banking and Finance Law, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr LLP and Mr David Moskowitz, founder of Coin Republic will be the speakers in the conference. Chairman of ACCESS, Anson Zeall will be moderator of the panel.
The conference will serve as an opportunity for industry regulators and professionals to enhance their understanding and information in the area. They will also be given a chance to explore how their organization can participate and address the cryptocurrency technologies. ACCESS’ goal is to let the industry stakeholders (e.g. entrepreneurs, venture capitalist, lawyers and accountant), take a look at the various aspects of cryptocurrencies and the basic technologies that can be applied to the financial sector and other sectors of the economy. Cryptocurrency can likely make a difference with the way businesses are organized. It can also complement institutions like the exchanges, central banks and even the government. ACCESS will help and protect the development and use of digital currencies.
